Resources in Arkansas

  • Arkansas Cancer Coalition studies statewide incidence of cancers of all types and provides workshops and grant-funding to help increase cancer survival rates.  They have a very helpful booklet to help newly diagnosed patients stay organized and informed (Printable Booklet). 
  • CARTI is known for not only treating patients' cancer but also providing financial and psychosocial services, such as massage therapy and weekend retreats, for patients and their families (CARTI Services).
  • UAMS has a new cancer institute which offers clinical trials alongside standard treatment (Clinical Trials at UAMS).

National Resources

  • American Brain Tumor Association provides extensive diagnosis and treatment information to patients and caregivers and funds brain cancer research.  They have a patient resource hotline and user-friendly website (ABTA).
  • Mission 4 Maureen provides grants to help offset medical bills and other financial hardships incurred during brain cancer treatment.  They have awarded grants in all 50 states (Financial Assistance Application).
  • Camp Kesem offers weeklong Summer camps and other programs throughout the year for children of cancer patients (Camp Registration).
